Top Photo was taken in February of 2006 at the beach in Long Branch. That was another difficult time as it was right after my mother died.

The bottom photo was taken in December of 1986. it was my brother Mark's birthday.

I have always thought how easily time can can sneak away from us so quickly......

Frozen car wash

Another memory I haave of Kevin involves the same car. This actually happened prior to getting my license. I had asked Kevin one day to take me to the mall. He agreed, but said he wanted to take the car to the do-it-yourself carwash. It was late Fall/early Winter at the time and I said, "You can't wash the car now, the water will freeze up on the car" He was insistent, so to the car wash we went. As we were pulling out of the carwash and driving down highway 36 toward the Mall, sure enough, the whole car froze up, he couldn't even get the ice off the windshield with the wipers. we both laughed and he said, "Well, you were right!"

Driving test

I was 19 years old when I finally decided to go for my driver's license. I actually had to take the written test 3 times before I finally passed that. But it only took me 1 try to pass the actual road test. It was when Kevin and theresa were still living in NJ, Long Branch. At the time, Kevin had an old, beat up, brown Chevy Nova (the boxy one). That was the car I used to take my road test in to get my license. My mother waas waiting for me back at the little waiting room they had then. There was another Insctructor in there with her and he had turned to her and said "I hope she doesn't plan on driving in this country." When she questioned him on this comment, he replied, "cause she's driving on the wrong side of the road."
